| Dyan will be presenting a few programs in June and July of 2010 - then she will be planning her tour for her forthcoming book, The Great Penguin Rescue. The Penguin Lady will present her most popular program for 7-12 year olds, PENGUINS! FASCINATING FACTS & TANTALIZING TRIVIA, at a few special locations this summer. She is making return appearances at the Springfield Museum in Springfield MA, the Newburyport Public Library in Newburyport MA, the Concord Free Public Library in Concord MA and the Topsfield Town Library in Topsfield MA. WEDNESDAY JUNE 16, at 7:00 pm - Concord Library 129 Main Street Concord MA THURSDAY JULY 8, at 10:00 am - Newburyport Library 94 State Street Newburyport MA TUESDAY JULY 13, at 11:00 am - Topsfield Library 1 South Common Street Topsfield MA WEDNESDAY JULY 14, at 1:00 pm - Springfield Museum 21 Edwards Street Springfield MA Presented in a lively game-show format, this presentation will explore some of the commonly held myths and misconceptions about penguins. Among many other things, audience members will learn how penguins hide from their predators; how deep they can dive and how long they can hold their breath; and they will finally learn the answer to the most frequently asked question; Do penguins have knees? There will even be penguin prizes for all attendees. This program, which is appropriate for children ages 7-12, is free. |
